Traffic has been disrupted at several points in Belgrade – in front of the FDU building in Novi Beograd, at the Kralja Milana and Kneza Miloša crossroads near the London neighbourhood, at Student Square, at Brankova Most, as well as in front of the RTS building.
Those gathered carried banners that read: “Freedom for the people, prison for the brutes”, “Corruption kills”, “Serbia, stop”, as well as the names of those who died in Novi Sad, with the question “Who is responsible?”.
Activist Nikola Ristić shared on his social media that during action in Takovska street in Belgrade, an organised group of “hoodies” came and started beating people who stopped in front of RTS at 11:52. In the video shared by Ristić, several hooded men can be seen shouting and complaining about the blocked street and then pushing and hitting the gathered citizens.
As reported by Danas, several men got out of cars in front of the FDU building insisting on being let through, repeatedly attacking the crowd, with one individual pushing a woman.
